"description":"This data contains sites that are notified to the EPA under s60 of the Contaminated Land Management Act 1997 (CLM Act) as of the version date field specified in the attribute table. This dataset contains a list of notified contaminated sites that the EPA publishes each month.  The sites appearing in this dataset indicate that the notifiers consider that the sites are contaminated and warrant reporting to the EPA. However, the contamination may or may not be significant enough to warrant regulation by the EPA. The EPA makes this decision. Information about sites regulated by the EPA under the CLM Act is available in the Contaminated Land \u2013 Record of Notices. An absence of a site from this data does not necessarily mean the site is not contaminated.  Please note that this data does not include sites issued with notices under the Environmentally Hazardous Chemicals Act 1985 (EHC) Act and not issued with notices under the CLM Act.  Further information can be obtained from the Contaminated Land - Record of Notices issued under the CLM Act or the list of notified sites.
