Description: Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) administrative region boundaries for NSW. From 1 July 2016 the NSW Local Government Areas were re merged and dissolved to reflect the new boundary alignments. There are three EPA Branches and seven EPA Regions across the state. In December 2017 South West Region was renamed Riverina Far West Region to avoid confusion with the Branch name.Note that the EPA Region boundaries differ from the Office of Environment and Heritage Regional Operations Region boundaries particularly around the metropolitan area eg. the EPA Metro Branch is larger than the RO Greater Sydney Branch and includes the Wollongong area LGAs.

Description: UPSS environmentally sensitive zones have been identified through a risk-based approach to protecting sensitive environmental receptors. They represent a conservative assessment of areas that are likely to be vulnerable to contamination from leaking UPSS (due to geology or groundwater properties), or in close proximity to vulnerable environmental receptors (such as national parks and anything that is likely to be adversely affected by contaminated groundwater, e.g. groundwater bores, rivers, lakes, etc.).For more information see the EPA webpage http://www.epa.nsw.gov.au/clm/upssenvsensitivezones.htm
Description: The data is contains only basic information to indicate the location ofsites that may have UPSS,This for internal EPA UPSS section use only. The data is updated manually and periodically. More information on the UPSS Regulation is available at http://www.epa.nsw.gov.au/clm/upss.htm
Description: The data is provided pursuant to section 58 of the Contaminated Land Management Act 1997.This list contains only basic information to identify the site, additional background information and data specific to each site is available from the CLMPR website at http://www.epa.nsw.gov.au/clm/aboutregister.aspxThe data is updated manually and periodically. As more notices are issued, more sites will be added to the list and current sites will become former sites. Once a site is on the public record it will never be removed but its status may change.Due to the requirements of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998, the name of the owner or occupier may be withheld. The Area No. can be used to search the public record to find additional information about the site, such as Lot and DP, and to find information on the notices that have been issued on that site. An example of this is http://www.epa.nsw.gov.au/clm/searchresults.aspx?Notice=3000The data was up to date as of the time the notices were issued and may have changed since that time. Only the LGA is regularly updated. The data has been filtered to include only one record per Area No. Updated 27 February 2015
